TTF delegation to visit India and Sri Lanka this year

A delegation of Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) will visit India and Sri Lanka in the second half of the current year for expanding sales in those markets.

?

During the visit, TTF will hold promotional activities in two Indian cities ? New Delhi and Bangalore ? as well as in the Sri Lankan capital city of Colombo.

?

New Delhi is an important distribution centre of India?s textile industry for export market. In addition, it has about 2,000 textile and garment enterprises, which together account for about 30 percent of India?s garment export value.

?

The southern Indian city of Bangalore is another garment production hub and is also a major supplier to global brands.

?

Colombo has offices of various Sri Lankan firms that export textiles and clothing.

?

During their trip, Taiwanese companies will negotiate with some of the well-known garment manufacturers, exporters, domestic clothing brands, traders and fabric manufacturers.

?

The visit will be supported by the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) of India and Sri Lanka Textile Association.
